I've been using my RT tablet for many things so far, and I love it. I don't regret buying it at all. However, there are some more things I'd like to be able to do with it.

Mainly serial communication. You see, I have to configure a lot of switches and storage arrays in my line of work, and it would be nice to be able to do it through my tablet. I already use Telnet and SSH to configure Linux servers and remote desktop for Windows servers with this same tablet.
However, I have to drag out my ancient Compaq WinXP laptop with Hyperterm in order to config the arrays and switches. It's annoying. I tried to do it with my tablet, but I found two problems: there is no serial term program for Windows RT and there are no drivers for USB to serial adapters. Since we can't install apps from anywhere except the MS store, and we can't install 3rd party drivers, even if they exist, It's up to MS to solve these. Sitting in a DC, using a step ladder as a chair, using a cart as a mobile desk, with an ancient WinXP laptop is really a pain in the tookus, literally.
